secret web haven
glistening in morning dew
intention exposed
soul soothing rhythm
welcoming weary traveller
the sound of the sea
spray colour on down
display your royal carpet
jacaranda tree
is this really me
spiking images of blue
visual recording
make a jazz noise here
she swings as good as basie
listening to diane
over and over
musicians inspiration
the turtle dove calls
just as in music
a fascinating rhythm
the sound of the sea
is that a stranger
in moments of reflection
me in the mirror
time for you to go
reflections in the water
waving me goodbye

words and images,
to carry me through my day...
thank you for sharing!
Wondrous words winking in and out like sylabic micro-bursts...lifting off the spoken page like a flight of seabirds scattering and chattering before me...I speak your words to the Arizona air and the ocean is there, the sounds and eternal rhythms return...God, I miss the ocean...
Haiku verse reminds...
Combers beat on distant shore...
Their Siren calls pull........................
Seabirds cry with joy...
Speckled sea provides their nest...
All is well at home.........
Thank you, my friend...I thoroughly enjoyed your wonderfully written haiku with my morning coffee...What a delight it was to come back to HubPages after a couple days out of town, and to find your ever thoughtful and evocative haiku waiting for me...Larry
Delightful poem with awesome pictures. Well done
Russ, great haiku. Loved the ones related to the sea; it lends itself well to haiku. Was the WAV photo your own voice?
Haikus about the sea and the jacaranda tree were my favorites, loved the very apt pictures too... Voting the hub up ... and awesome :) Have a lovely day and compliments of the Season!! God Bless!!
