Haiku Moods
63
I was recently inspired by Haiku Spring, a hub by Maven101 (Larry Connor): http://hubpages.com/hub/Haiku-Spring.
In his comments he wrote, "I usually write at least one haiku every morning, but publish rarely". What a great idea (but you write so well and I wish you would publish much more regularly!). That inspired me and I am now writing a haiku every morning and gathering those that instinctively come from a special place and touch me. Thanks Larry.
clouds surround my heart
seasons come and pass on by
empty without you
so i lose myself
in things i don’t want to do
hoping i’ll forget
billet-doux for her
hidden within the flowers
being romantic
lines below your eyes
your emotion is showing
it’s your mascara
will i handle this
more emotions i can tell
are winging to me
the weekends are long
the time drags by so slowly
now that you are gone
A beautiful and peaceful hub - great photography.
Really beautiful, simply comlex.I enjoyed it.Thanks for sharing your talent!
Beautifully constructed words of pain and sadness...But with the sunshine of Spring comes renewal and discovery...The world awaits your pleasure, my friend...just around the corner awaits new passions, new beginnings, and new haiku from your talented pen...I look forward to your subtle, disciplined, and lovely prose...Take care, Russ...Larry
Sad, poignant and simply, cleanly made. Hope your breakfast haiku pen continues to flow.! Oh and I'm curious is the last picture of Rio yours? - has great soft colours.
Russ - you are a genius at this! Just love the haiku. And I agree with you that Larry should publish more - I also said so in a comment to him a while back.
Thanks for the beautifully put together Hub. I really enjoyed it.
Love and peace

I really needed some good poetry and I am very thankful you so gracefully gave me those treasures
Wonderfully evocative with potent feeling! Some verses remind me of senryu rather than haiku as they are about persons as opposed to strictly nature. Such a fine line betweent he two. Still the meaning and sentiment is clear. The photos are stunning! Shine on!
I was lweraning haiku from a very adept haiku poet--still find them hard to do. Just recently learned about the senryu-- though there are many opinions and evolutons!! LOL
I too tend to follow the muse and see what comes--don't do very much formal styles. But I do love the haiku for its evocativeness. One day I may get it right!
